I have painted quite a few Oz inspired pieces over the years, ever since I was first commissioned to by Harrods in 2009. I had the idea for this piece 'Ruby Slippers' about 10 years ago, and only got the chance to finally paint it in 2022. It features tiny sparkly ornaments, that were a gift from a collector of mine. The blurred background hints at the yellow brick road and Dorothy's basket.
