Painted in 2021, ahead of the 2022 world cup, this piece features iconic Subbuteo figures. I’ll admit not something I had myself as a kid, but I realise they are so nostalgic for many people (including my boyfriend!). Nostalgia is an important element in my work, I love that it makes people feel good, I want my paintings to leave the viewer feeling uplifted.
